Margarita Esguerra

Margarita Esguerra is a renowned expert in organizational development and cultural transformation, as well as a distinguished leadership and change management consultant. Her expertise spans crucial areas such as HR transformation, leadership development, executive coaching, and learning and development strategies in dynamic corporate environments.

Margarita currently serves as Principal Latam at The RBL Group, where she is responsible for strengthening the firm's presence in Colombia and Latin America, expanding the portfolio of customized solutions designed to transform organizations and empower leaders in an ever-evolving business environment.

With over 30 years of professional experience, Margarita has built a solid career in the oil and gas industry, excelling in strategic roles at leading companies in the sector. During her time at Ecopetrol as Excellence Specialist, she led change management processes in the implementation of new operating models, developed career maps for individual contributors, and cultural model appropriation strategies. Previously, as Talent Development Specialist, she was responsible for leadership competency development and the implementation of development tools for leaders.

At Equión Energía Limited, as Organizational Capability Manager, Margarita led the design and implementation of the Culture and Leadership Model, positioning Equión as the best company to work for in Latin America according to Great Place to Work. She co-created the Change Management (MoC) process and the transition from BP Exploration Company to Equión Energía, and designed and implemented career and succession plans with the respective competency strengthening program.

Her extensive experience includes more than two decades at BP Exploration Company as Learning and Development Manager, where she designed and implemented talent development strategies to position Colombian talent in BP's most important business units worldwide, and was part of the crude oil marketing team with OTI-Cleveland.

Margarita complements her professional experience with a solid academic background. She is a graduate of Strategic Management and Leadership from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), holds certifications in Sustainability Strategy and Circular Economy from the University of Cambridge, is an ICF Certified Coach, a Conscious Business Coach certified by Fred Koffman, and has additional certifications in Team Kanban, Leading Digital Transformation, and Fundamentals of Energy Transition.

As an independent consultant and executive coach, Margarita has collaborated with major companies such as OXXO and C&A Mexico through Imanku Solutions, where she designed career development and learning guides focused on strengthening leaders' competencies in talent management conversations with their teams, as well as project management and change management guides.

Her comprehensive approach combines technical expertise in the energy industry with deep knowledge in organizational development, cultural transformation, and sustainability, allowing her to offer strategic solutions that align talent development with long-term business objectives. Her ability to navigate complex change and transformation processes positions her as a visionary leader in the field of organizational development and talent management in Latin America.
