Horace O. Porrás

Horace O. Porrás is a distinguished global HR strategist and transformational leader with over 30 years of international executive experience across multiple continents and industries. His expertise spans crucial areas such as leadership development, executive coaching, HR transformation, M&A integration, and global talent strategy, consistently aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to drive organizational growth and performance.

Horace's extensive global experience has earned him recognition as a strategic HR thought leader. He currently serves as Global Principal at The RBL Group, where he leads practices focused on delivering impactful change and sustainable growth for clients across English, Spanish, and Portuguese-speaking markets.

With a comprehensive academic background, Horace completed Leadership Excellence training at MIT Sloan Executive Education, holds a Master's degree in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from UNEM.

Throughout his distinguished career, Horace has held senior executive positions at prominent organizations including Afiniti, American Tower Corporation, Mastercard, Cargill, McDonald's, and Schlumberger. His international leadership roles have included Head of Human Resources for Continental Europe and Head of Global Mobility, where he managed 7,500 expatriates across 80 countries. His expertise encompasses talent management and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational development, succession planning, performance management, compensation, benefits and incentives, program implementation, talent acquisition, and HR policy development.

Horace has successfully orchestrated business start-ups for the Americas, Europe, and global operations, while also accumulating extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and company integrations. At American Tower Corporation, he spent over nine years as Vice President of Human Resources for Latin America, where he built succession plans and talent pipelines through development plans and diverse assignments, established efficient organizational structures, and implemented coaching and training forums for management and sales teams.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Horace is a passionate advocate for inclusion, particularly focused on integrating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) into organizations. He serves on the Board of Advisors for Linked4HR, the board of Junior Achievement of Greater Miami, and is a Global Ambassador for Best Buddies International.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Horace has lived and worked in numerous global locations including Brussels (Belgium), Milan (Italy), Bucharest (Romania), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), and Minnesota (USA). He is currently based in Miami, Florida. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with knowledge of French and Italian, his multicultural background enhances his ability to lead diverse global teams and drive cross-cultural initiatives with sensitivity and effectiveness.
